Problem with a seller

Hello my mateys!!

The problem is that the seller had shipping costs for Spain about 80 euros but at ebay UK that I use there were not this option. So I never saw his spanish shipping cost till today who asks me 80 euros for his game, lol!!

When i choose "pay now" from ebay it asks me 0.50 euros for the game and it asks me to add myself shipping costs (about 10-15 euros I suppose).

What do you propose to me to do with him, to pay those 0.50 euros and after to open a case at ebay that he does not send me the game. Its illegal for ebay to put 80 euros shipping costs for an item like this.

I am not sure if its worth checking with ebay, they could either suggest you pay the full amount and after request a proof of prosting receipt to find out the actual cost, then they may take it upon themselves to refund you the difference. If you just pay the 0.50 euros and open a case he may just not ship it altogether and that is perhaps a option you dont want to take seeing as this is a bargain (apart from the stupid postage lol) ... Or just be blunt with the seller 'How did you work out postage will be 80 euros, is this coming on a same day courier?' lol

Lets be honest this will only cost £15ish to send ...

Yeah, i am a little confused for that story. At least i could pay him now 0.50 euros for knowing the ebay that i pay quickly and we will see.

I had a similar problem Geo. When I won a sealed GBA console on Spain for cheap, the seller wanted a ridiculous amount for postage, this is entirely the sellers fault. He should have added the correct postage costs even before listing the item. I later declined the console as I told him I don't deal with idiots who make money on postage.

Tell him to either agree and honor the deal, if not just get a refund.

I recommend adding the cost of postage on to the listing auction, so everything is determined before the auction. This will keep both the seller safe.

Now it says listing removed. Anyway, if price is not listed in auction, or on shipping page, then it`s a must to ask seller. If not asking, he can add whatever price he want. It`s not honest of course, but it`s legal by ebay rules. If you don`t like price with shipping, it`s better to cancel deal and maybe mention it in feedback.

I told him that I will pay the price that ebey asks to me, 0.50 euros and when he ships the game and show me the receipt I will add shipping costs. What you think? It's fair and legal!!

For the history I cancelled the transaction. It does not worth time to loose for a small problem like this. I think next time he will exclude greek bidders....
